Individuals With Disabilities
Our programming is available to any individual that faces barriers which inhibits their health, wellness, physical activity, and overall quality of life can enroll in our programming – regardless of whether they have an IEP or 504 Plan. If they will benefit from our services we will not deny them, even if our Department of Education tells us not to utilize their data – they still have a right to receive services if it will improve their health, function in society, and overall quality of life.
Any individual with a developmental delay – regardless of type of disability (physical, cognitive, sensory, emotional, language, etc). Many of the individuals we serve, include but are not limited to:
Physical/Orthopedic (including individuals who use wheelchairs as well as those who are ambulatory: Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Bifida, Spinal Cord Injuries, amputees, and Traumatic Brain Injuries.
Cognitive/Intellectual (including individuals who are both verbal and non-verbal): Autism, Down Syndrome, Specific Learning Disabilities, ADD/ADHD, and many other intellectual disabilities.
Sensory: Individuals who are blind, deaf, and deaf/blind. We also work with individuals with sensory processing disorders or sensory integration issues.
Emotional/Behavioral: Various emotional and behavioral conditions/issues due to numerous factors (genetic, past experiences, etc.)
Language/Speech: Individuals who are non-english speaking, regardless of whether their language is a primary or secondary reason for their developmental delay.
Other Health Impairments: Some conditions may include: Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Heart Condition, JRA, and many others.
Multiple Disabilities: Individuals with multiple disabilities – also includes individuals who may be considered as severe and profound.
Our goal is create programming to meet the needs of any child, adolescent, or adult who wishes to be active, improve their ABILITY, and desire to show the world what GIFTS they truly have to offer!
